This is the page for the Platinumcraft game jam. ONLY MEMBERS OF THE PLATINUMCRAFT DISCORD ARE ALLOWED TO JOIN.

Theme: Entropy

Disorder, randomness, chaos, and uncertainty.

You have until December 30 at 10:00 PM CST to complete your game. The best game will win $15 (or something <= $15 in value). If 2 or more games tie for first or it's very close, the creators of those games can choose either to split the prize or run a community poll.

The ranking of games is decided with 4 criteria (subject to change):

• Gameplay/Enjoyment
  • How fun the gameplay and mechanics of the game are
• Creativity
  • How creative the game is (must still fit the theme)
• Other
  • If something else stands out about the game (art, writing, etc) points will be awarded here
  • A lot of games will likely have a low score here, don't expect it to be super high

You're allowed to create assets (sounds, basic characters, etc) prior to the start of the game jam, but you can't start programming the actual game until the theme is revealed. Creating a game and modifying it later to fit the theme is not allowed. This includes using game engines that are designed to make a specific type of game trivially easy to make (e.g. RPG Playground).

Here is the list of allowed game engines - if you think one should be on here but is not, please request it to be added on Discord:

• Unity
• Construct
• GameMaker
• GDevelop
• Scratch/TurboWarp
• Unreal
• No engine (I seriously doubt anyone is going to do this but idk)

You also cannot use textures/sprites you found online or were provided to you by the engine. You must make them yourself.

Please export your game for the web and/or Linux (Windows is technically allowed, but your game might be buggy when run through Wine/Bottles).

Keep in mind, this is mostly just for fun, so please don't ruin your sleep schedule for this. Thanks.
