PLANET FIST is a Powered by the Apocalypse narrative wargame of satirical scifi skirmish storytelling and a hack of CLAYMORE's FIST, and winner of the SUBSTANCE award in the FIST: Ultra Jam. Now, it's time to iterate that jam one step further. Like the nanobots of the planet Sixaura, you will make and remake—fashion PLANET FIST into further frenetic fighting and foolishness.

Forever war doesn't fuel itself, soldier. For the next 45 days (until the end of November 26th in EST) you will have the opportunity to riff on PLANET FIST in whatever way you see fit. Expand, hack, experiment. The battlefield is your laboratory. Just don't let Command catch you.

You are encouraged to join the PLANET FIST Community Discord & as you brainstorm and work on your jam entry! It's always better to have comrades.

You might make:

• A whole armory of new weapons & equipment.
• A series of new missions set on the planet Sixaura.
• A hack of hack—what if the narrative wargame that is PLANET FIST focused on rebuildable mecha, rather than reassembled bodies? What if it drew more from XCOM than Planetside 2? You can answer these questions!
• New rules. What if there were more mechanics for marshaling friendlies? For aerial vehicles, dogfighting, and other combined arms? For what happens between missions?
• Settings and lore. The PLANET FIST book draws broad strokes, and leaves lots of gaps. What if you filled some of them in?

Anyone working on a PLANET FIST JAM entry is welcome to sign up for community playtesting, in which FIST creator Jess Levine will help you do the frustrating logistics of getting a playgroup together to test your jam entry, recruiting members of the community discord to fill a game that you referee. The community discord is made up of PLANET FIST's best and brightest—including many of those who playtested PLANET FIST itself. It's a great way to get feedback and iterate on your jam entry. Just join the discord and post in #community-playtest to get set up.

Anyone who plays in a PLANET FIST community playtest will get a thank you with their name in the post-itchfunder version of PLANET FIST.

Anyone who submits to the jam will be able (and encouraged) to rate other entries on two criteria (voting will be open through January 6th 2024):

• SKIRMISH: How does your jam entry interact with, expand on, and make use of the wargame layer of PLANET FIST?
• STORYTELLING: How do you add to the narrative canon of PLANET FIST, and offer players the opportunity to explore its stories?

While these categories are usefully granular and good guides to get you on track towards a thematically fitting PLANET FIST supplement, PLANET FIST has also always been intended to break this binary. As such there will be a final category: THE ADMIRAL'S CHOICE, chosen by Jess Levine, creator of PLANET FIST. Submit to PLANET FIST JAM, and she'll read your jam entry, and give you thoughts, guaranteed.

All participants get:

Winners in each of the 3 categories also receive:

• THE (OPT-IN) OPPORTUNITY TO BE IN A BUNDLE sale with the post-itchfunder version of PLANET FIST
• RECOGNITION OF THEIR VICTORY in the post-itchfunder PLANET FIST book

• No bigotry or unironic right-wing bullshit. Keep the STATEMENT OF INTENT (PLANET FIST pg. 4) in mind. Just because the  evil factions ruling/ruining your life are fascist assholes doesn't mean that you are. In fact, it's expressly forbidden.
• Keep your entry free until jam voting is over—let your compatriots easily check out your game while the jam is ongoing.
• After the jam, sell it for however much you like. It can be $10,000 for all I care, if you think you can swing it.
• Like FIST itself, PLANET FIST is licensed under CC-BY-SA 4.0— it's public domain. Create anything you like, and we never take a cent.
