PixelJam is a 24-hour game development event run at University College London. Here you'll be given all the workshops, tools, mentors and snacks you'll need to create the game of your dreams! These kind of events are known as game jams, and are a great opportunity to come together with like-minded gamedev enthusiasts and bring your game ideas to life over a weekend.

What can you make? The theme of the game jam is retro gaming, but it is up to you how you choose to implement this theme in your game. Give us pixels, polygons, or some other classical game element that tickles your fancy! As long as you can make your game within 24 hours, and it can be compiled to a Windows machine, anything goes. All game genres and types are welcome - whether you want to make an RPG, a shooter, a puzzle game, a point-and-click adventure (or anything in between), you'll get a chance to bring it to life at PixelJam.

Once the 24 hours are over, you'll be given the opportunity to show off what your game in a 'science fair'-style presentation, and also the chance to demonstrate your creation in front of other attendees. Also, during the weekend, we'll be holding mini-events and games, to give you a break from your projects.
