PitiIT is a small youtube channel with rapidly growing community.

We do our best to create friendly, non-toxic environment where you can learn, share and just be whoever you are - the way you are.

Because YOU ARE PERFECT!

Yes! It has been suggested on several ocassions that we should run a jam - so here it is.

Creating game is fun but can be hard and frustrating, so we are here to help you:

if you have questions, want to chat to nice people or just find a place where you can hang around, feel free to join our discord

The theme is:

And here's a full list of additional special rules. Feel free to follow as many as possible or non at all!

They are meant to make the Jam a little bit more fun and challanging but are not required.

Animal Lover - Only animal characters

Me no read, no write - Don't use any words to communicate anything (including menu, tutorial and so on)

Minimalistic - All game in one scene

Shader Expert - Use at least 5 shaders created using Shader Graph

Double Meaning - The game has to have second, hidden meaning suggested by art/events/indirect lore

This should not work - Combine two game genres that seem impossible to combine

Infinite posibilities - add some type of randomization or procedural generation that makes each playthrough unique

Be proud of your roots - add something that makes reference to your culture (can be a setting, creature, plot idea, etc)

Keep it short keep it clean - less than 100 lines of code per class

We can make a change - add some type of mechanic where change can be achived by the participation of many (i.e. recycling for climate change, kindness for a better society, etc)

Everyone can play - Add a decent amount of accessibility options to your game

Thats my voiceline - Make every sound effect using your voice

Work-life balance - Don't work on the game for longer than 1h a day

Like exam study - Treat the jam as regular 48h jam. Just sit, create your game in a day/two and have the rest of the month for you!

Indecisive - Combination of 2d and 3d in game like level design

When submitting your entry you will be asked to provide the list of special rules that you went with! :)

  1. This jam is one month long, not because we want you to work the whole month but because we want to give you enough time to sleep, have fun, meet with friends and family and most importantly take care about your health. Do not neglect yourself!
  2. Your game has to fit given theme (of course you can get creative :))
  3. You can create the game alone or in a team.
  4. External assets are completely ok to use - including sound, music, graphics, code as long as you have the license to use them.
  5. The game does not have to be finished. As long as you have something playable that is great!
  6. Try to be active part of the community, share your progress, help others. We are all about making our game journeys pleasent experience.
  7. NSFW games are not allowed.
  8. Avoid hard, heavy, difficult, unpleasant subjects. Last years were full of not the most pleasant events. Let's try to make the world slightly more positive by creating games that spread positivity, cuteness, support or anything else that will contribute to helping the player to stay in good mental (or maybe even physical) shape!

  • The voting period will last 7 days from the day jam ends.
  • The games can be rated by submitter and contributors.
  • The criteria will be:
    • Theme - how much the game fits the jam's theme.
    • Positivity - last years were full of not the most pleasant events. As a community we should strive to bring a little bit of positivity to the world. Does the game have positive vibes, causes smile on your face? Or maybe it is cute or has a touching story?
    • Art & Music - does the game feel coherent? Do you like how it looks, sounds? Is the art style unique?
    • Fun - did you enjoy playing the game? Will you want to play it again? Does the idea has potential to be turned into 'full' production?
    • Special Rules - you can select extra constraints from a list of special rules. You can use one or all of them. It is up to you!
    • Overall - the "total" score. How do you feel about the game taking into consideration all of its aspects?

First place in Positivity, Theme, Speical Rules and Overall will be able to request a youtube video (about subject related to game dev). Do you want a review of your game? Do you have a specific problem you would like me to tackle? Great! I will get you covered :).

Please bear in mind that I will have to be capable of either doing the video or making enough research to create that video - if you request something extremely tough it may take me some time, but I promise 'no shortcuts', I will really do my best!

You will also get shiny "Jam Winner" role :)
