Pawn-off is Game Jam held by community of Chess engine creators that was created after this video. It will have main theme as always, but your game should be connected with chess too. Use whatever programming languages, game engines, or libraries you like. You're also welcome to use AI tools to help generate code, assets, or anything in between! Name of the jam was generated by ChatGPT. I stole from "Game off" only structure of content, I promise 🙃

How can I participate in the jam?

1. Join the Game jam by pressing huge "JOIN JAM" button on the top of the screen
   
2. Create a game based on the theme (announced on November 24, 9:00 AM UTC)
3. Create a new public GitHub repository (or any other public cloud storage) to store the source code and any assets you’re able to share for your entry and push your changes before December 8, 12 PM UTC
4. Submit your game through itch.io

Rules

• Submissions may be removed at the sole discretion of the Judges (aka "The mute concil").
• Reusing existing code and assets is allowed to an extent. 
  •  No re-skinning of games made outside of the jam. 
  • A majority of the code and/or assets must be made in the jam's time frame
• Submissions require an export to at least Windows and Linux. You can export it to any other platforms (including web) if you want, but it's not required. 
• We will not tolerate racism, sexism, or any other form of discrimination when it comes to participation in the jam or submissions made.
• No new content may be uploaded after the submission deadline (no music, no polish, no tweaks). The only approved changes are GAME BREAKING bug fixes. Please include other bugs (e.g. doesn’t play in full-screen, etc.) as information on your entry’s page.
• Follow the theme.
• Have fun!

Criteria

• Gameplay - How interesting your game is to play
• Bugs - How many bugs and how major they are. 5 - no bugs at all
• Graphics - How pretty your game is
• Sounds - How your game sounds: BG music, ambient, etc. Pretty minor thing but still take place
• Theme Interpretation - How original your game are about theme limitation
• Summary - final mark of game. Primary criteria
