Welcome to the Party-Games V-Slice (Vertical Slice)/Sample game-jam! #🍕🎮🎉 #partyVslice

A vertical slice is a piece of (pizza) software, whereas it is complete/polished for its purposes of providing a well-done demonstration/sample of the game it is showcasing.

For this jam, prep up and deliver a collection of your own home-made game samples! Think of it like a deluxe party pizza or so, with multiple different toppings on the slices. If the famed tomato + cheese circular food is not for your taste, perhaps you may serve your game(s) themed as a traditional pie (or maybe a jigsaw puzzle?)...

🍽️ Guidelines

• Create a collection of games/mini-game samples
  • You may use any previous games that you have made (newer projects slightly preferred though)
  • Do your best to have the gameplay duration of most of your game samples at around the same length in time
  • Have a minimum of 3 games/mini-game samples (max. approximately 9 is good)
  • Wrap up any loose ends in the games, to prevent soft-locking and make it more complete as an overall project
  • No restrictions on type of game, but please keep it appropriate and label it as so (has to be your game!)
  • Please use your own characters, assets, etc. (free assets are okay to use)
• Thematically package your collection to make it more appealing!
  • Examples: pizza theme with different slices, cake, pie, puzzle, and/or any other creative ideas you have!
  • Do your best to put all the games in one file/game page (not necessary but it is recommended)
  • A good example is to make a screen that accesses all games and returns back to main screen (like demo discs)
  • Preferably all of your games should be the same file/access type (browser, downloadable, etc.)
• Upload and Share! + Extra Notes
• Let's get the word around and remember to share the links to your game, and the game-jam, on social media
• No editing of your submission after the deadline
• Feel free to work in teams or solo
