Paper Jams are like game jams but for papercraft!

More info at https://papertoys.fandom.com/wiki/Paper_Jams

This jam's theme is Tops and Tails!

The goal of this jam is to create a paper toy that is divided in half along the Y-axis, creating a "Top" (top half) and a "Tail" (bottom half). This allows it to be mixed-and-matched with other entries in the jam, similar to flip books or Skylanders: Swap Force! As such, there are some design constraints:

  • A 3x3cm flat square plane must make up the bottom of the "Top" part and the top of the "Tail" part
  • 2 x 10mm tabs should extend up from the "Tail", centred on the front and back sides of the midpoint
  • 2 x 10mm slots should be available on the "Top" to correspond the the "Tail" tabs
  • The assembled toy halves should not cross the Y-axis
  • Finally, the template should fit into a 20 x 26.94cm area so it can be printed on A4 or Letter page sizes (Size templates are supplied. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1LUwnr-ejYUWy8xnj-G4iFEENkl-3LMOK?usp=sharing)

Please submit a template as well as a square build photo of the finished toy.

*By participating, you agree to allow the host to post your build photos on the Paper Jam Instagram account. Links and credits will be mentioned. All templates should be available to the public and unlocked for viewing/printing.
