This is more than just a game development event; it's the least we can do for the Palestinians beside praying for them. Together, as game developers, we rally behind the cause to reveal the untold story of Palestine. Join us as we craft games that convey the narrative of Palestine, a story that deserves to be heard by the world.
We've carefully compiled a wealth of resources that serve as a window to the truth behind the Zionist occupation of Palestine, tracing its origins and impact on the Palestinian people.
For Game Developers: We invite you to absorb these resources, embark on personal research if desired, and then abbreviate it in a simple and easy to understand narrative in your game, and focus on the unknown/hidden parts of it. We highly recommend communicating the game idea far away from texts to break the language barriers allowing people from different backgrounds to understand it. And don't forget to extend our mission by sharing this event with fellow developers.
For Gamers: Read throught into the resources to better understand Palestine, Israel, and the ongoing situation. Once the developers have finished their games, help in delivering it to the largest segment of people, especially to those unaware of the truth.
Some media outlets distort facts and hide others, and so, we have to speak up and share the truth on a global scale, to raise awareness of the Palestinians suffering under the grip of occupation. Our voice can be delivered using diverse media, and games is one of the best.
Through this event, we aim to illuminate the hidden corners of this issue, particularly for those knowing only one side of it or those who're unaware of it at all. By doing so, we indirectly contribute to the protection of Palestinian lives. Together, we can make a significant difference.
In 1948, Israeli forces initiated a war to occupy Palestine, which ended on March 10, 1949, and is now referred to as the 'Palestinians' Nakba' or catastrophe. This devastating conflict witnessed over 15,000 Palestinian civilian casualties.
During this period, more than 530 out of 774 Palestinian villages were razed to the ground by Israeli forces, while over 85% of Palestinian land fell under occupation. Shockingly, the Nakba saw more than 70 massacres against Palestinians, resulting in a staggering death toll of over 15,000 innocent victims. Even until 2022, more than 100,000 Palestinians remain missing.
Since 2007, the Gaza Strip has been under an Israeli blockade, severely restricting the movement of people and goods. This blockade has had catastrophic humanitarian consequences.
Israeli occupation extended beyond Palestine, it also encompassed territories such as Al-Quneitra in Syria and Sinai in Egypt. In the 1973 conflict, Israeli forces withdrew from Sinai and Al-Quneitra but proceeded to occupy another Syrian region, Al-Jolan, which remains under occupation to this day.
In the most recent conflict, Israeli forces tragically killed more than 3,500 civilians, including over 1,000 children and infants. Notably, Israeli forces also attacked Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza, leaving more than 500 innocent victims.

Our connection to Palestine goes back to our early years, predating Israel's formation. Throughout our lives, we've witnessed the ongoing confiscation of Palestinian lands and atrocities against its people. It's deeply troubling that Israel was established through violence and displacement. We stand in solidarity with Palestinians seeking to reclaim their land. Israel emerged from paramilitary groups seizing Palestinian territory. We support Palestine's enduring spirit and quest for justice, pledging unwavering support for its restoration.
The Palestinian issue is not just about Palestinians; it's a global humanitarian cause. It represents a matter of human rights and justice, and it is a duty for everyone to defend and support it. We should all use our skills and various tools to express this right and raise awareness about the issue. There are no boundaries to expression, and efforts should not be confined to specific mediums. Through social media, books, films, songs, and artistic presentations, everyone can contribute to conveying the truth and raising awareness about the Palestinian issue. Unifying efforts will help achieve justice and the necessary change. The work we do today can build a bridge toward a better and more just future.
We believe that the issue of Palestine is a nation's issue, and we believe that every individual must do everything they can, for us at Kinmatik, we use this platform to express our support for the free Palestinian people. On the basis of this, we call on everyone to use their talents in development and participate in this event to show the whole world what is happening in terms of the war crimes that are occurring now in Palestine.
The Palestinian issue is not only for the Palestinians, but rather it is an issue of a usurped right, and every individual searching for the right must do his utmost to defend it, its people, and the sanctities within it. We urge you to exploit your skills to convey the truth to different races and with different tongues, and there are no limits to expression. The eloquent weapon is the word and the painter’s weapon is the pen. Each has a job and each has a weapon. Any shortcomings today are an affliction that we will regret tomorrow.
We have known about Palestine since we were kids, and even our parents & families knew about it before something called Israel existed. Throughout our lives, we have seen Palestinian lands stolen year after year, and war crimes committed against Palestinians. We really wonder how a country like Israel could be built on top of such unethical crimes - a country built on killing, ripping, and stealing. We stand with the Palestinians in defending their right to live in their home country and in driving out the occupiers. Israel was formed by militias that gathered on Palestinian lands and then called themselves ‘Israel’. Long live Palestine, long live Palestinians. We will support them to the end until Palestine is restored.
We stand in solidarity and stand together with the Palestinian people , who are oppressed day and night, visible to the entire world. we firmly believe that the media takes sides at the expense of the other, distorts the facts, and portrays defenders of their land as criminal. where did humanity go?
We stand with the Palestinian people and support their rights. In these dark times of humanity where innocent lives of children are lost, we must open our eyes to understand why this is happening. We as humans have been divided by the illusion of countries and race. we believe that Palestine and even Earth is a gift from God to all humans, not exclusive to any race or religion. We still believe that humanity can make the right choice. We still have hope for peace.
Killing wounded elderly people, men, women, and children shouldn't be justified!. Bombing houses, schools, hospitals, mosques, and churches shouldn't be justified!. These are not just war casualties, this is a serious threat to humanity and the principles of mankind's civilization!
You don't have to be a Muslim or Arab to support Palestine You just have to be a HUMAN.
Games have always been a potent medium and their influence is growing stronger each day. They provide a platform to express your feelings, ideas, and to share your culture and beliefs. With your skills, you can craft a simple game that carries the civilization, history, and heritage of Palestine, allowing your message to reach far and wide. The events unfolding today are horrifying to witness. We may not be able to save the children, but at the very least, we can document history to inform the world about what has happened and what continues to happen.
He occupies your house, steals your money, displaces your family, kills your children, then you stand up to repel his aggression and injustice. You are now a terrorist in the eyes of the Western media! This is what's happenning between Israel (occupier) and the Palestinians (real land owner). Don't be blind, open your eyes to see the truth.
Previously, it was a struggle for land. Now, the situation has turned into a massacre and complete extermination that does not distinguish between the young, the old, women, or innocents in general. The massacre must be stopped immediately.
If you can't feel for the Palestinians after you've seen thousands of pictures and videos of old and young, babies and their mothers, Christians and Muslims, in coffins and in pieces, scattered, bagged, and under the rubble. Then you've lost all that is human within you. You're prejudiced, delusional, and brainwashed. I urge you to overcome your prejudice, to overcome your presupposition, and to see reason and stand for what's just and what's right, for your own sake, and for the sake of all humanity.
As an Arab, as an Egyptian, as a Muslim, but first and foremost AS A HUMAN BEING..the Palestinian issue has always been one of the root issues that stayed with me. It's a story of a group of oppressed people fighting for their freedom. For their right to live. For their right to be seen as human beings. It's an issue for everyone to support no matter what their background is. Video games as an interactive art form has always been very powerful just as movies and TV shows and maybe even more. So making games about a just issue is another form of activism. It's a way to tell the truth and help people get their freedom.
All I’m asking is for you to see the full picture. Research about Palestine and learn about what has been happening to their land for years. There is an occupation, and the Palestinians are just defending their land. Open your mind.
