Welcome to the "Outplay The Problem" Jam!

The goal is to create a game about a current global issue that you think you could bring more awareness to in the form of a video game. Here is a list of some issues that we think could be made into a video game (of course you're free to choose issues not present here):

• Homelessness
• Climate Change
• Alcoholism
• Inaccessibility for disabled people in urban public spaces

All submitted games will be presented on  our instagram account.

Rules

Your challenge is to make a game about a current global issue from Decmber 8th until December 31st at 6PM Central European Time. Games can be submitted at any time after the beginning of the jam and they can also be altered afterwars.

In the following week anyone will be able to judge each game on: its Theme (how it approaches the global issue), its Gameplay (how fun it is to play), its Art (how aesthetically pleasing it is to look at) and how Original the idea is (how creative is the idea of the game). 

After the judging process all submitted games will be presented on our Polish-speaking instagram account.

What can i make my game in? You can make it in any language, any game engine.

Can i make a game in a team? Yes, there is no limit for the size of the development team.

What assets can i use? Any assets you have the legal rights to use. Please don't use any assets generated by artificial intelligence.

Do i have to make a game to judge others? No, anyone with a itch.io account can vote for the games, based on four criteria:

• Theme - what global issue the game is about and how well it is implemented
• Gameplay - how fun the game is to play
• Art - how aesthetically pleasing the game is to look at
• Originality - how creative is the game idea
