The FPS Game & Itch.io Jam Detail
OPENIQ’s Unity Basic course is a hands-on bootcamp where participants learn the workflow of building a game from scratch.
Since today is the final day of the Bangkok round, here is how the FPS (First-Person Shooter) game creation and itch.io submissions work for this course:
- Game Development Focus: Participants typically use Unity templates and assets to rapidly prototype their games. A common focus for these weekend bootcamps is building basic FPS games or first-person adventure mechanics (like shooting, moving, and interacting with physics objects).
- Itch.io Submissions: At the end of the bootcamp, students compile their playable demos and submit them to an itch.io jam/collection specifically made for their batch.
- Where to find them: For the previous Khon Kaen (KKC) Batch 2 earlier this month, students submitted FPS games (like Fpsss+, EARTH DEFENCE GAME, and Refractor Simulator) under the tag "Submission to OpenIQ KKC Batch 2!". The Bangkok round (Batch 4) will have a similar dedicated jam page on itch.io where all the weekend's FPS projects will be uploaded and available to play for free once the event wraps up today.
Are you one of the participants uploading a project today, or are you looking to play the games submitted by the Bangkok batch?
