Hello All!  

The ttRPG hobby has long benefited from various forms of (real) open game licensing.  As we all know some recent news about the OGL License has many people worried. I want this jam to celebrate the concept of open gaming and to that effect entries to this jam: 

• Must use a (real) open game license to share at least some of the mechanics of the game.  The Creative Commons website offers many different licensing options.  When we share, everyone wins - Creative Commons
  • Licenses that require the user to identify with a specific political group are generally not considered to be "open" and are discouraged. 
• And/Or : Showcase the ways the RPG community has benefited from Open Gaming.  
• Entries that can reasonably be interpreted as condoning violence will be removed.  
• I will have a broad definition of RPG, but all RPGs should be playable - freeform poetry, however artistic, is not an RPG.  

To clarify - to join this jam you do not need to license your entire project - you can make a SRD that contains the concepts you are willing to share and another PDF that has the content that is proper to you and your projects.  

Projects do not need to have been started during the jam period but should have had work done during the jam period.

One of the many things that has made the ttRPG community so special is the way the games we play and the stories we tell come to be a communal effort.  And, regards of how the legal things about the OGL play out, this jam is a place for us to celebrate and continue the ideal of open gaming.
