Welcome to the fifth jam of the first ever Novice Summer Jam Series!
If you're new to making games, this series of jams over the summer holidays is the place to be. We're running 9 or 10 jams of varying lengths over eight weeks. We're trying to build an inclusive community of game makers and adjacent artists, encouraging cooperation and learning from each other. Rather than there being a specific theme or prompt, for this jam, pick a classic video game genre you like, and make a game in that genre, but with some sort of twist. An example would be something like "FPS, but you are the gun", though hopefully you all can come up with some better twists than that!
