What tools can I use?

What ever tools allows you to have a playable game at the end of the jam! Some examples are:

Things to remember:

  1. Game Jams are supposed to be fun – they are a lot of work and can be stressful, but you want to come out the other side happy
  2. Respect yourself – take time away from the jam to sleep, hydrate, eat, and bathe – trust us, you will feel better in the end
  3. Respect others – whether you are on a team or working alone, respect those around you – the goal is for everyone to enjoy their time making great games
  4. Set realistic expectations – 2 days is not a long time, especially when making a game. Build something fun but make sure your goals are attainable
  5. Don’t worry about winning – have fun and make something great, the prizes are just a bonus
  6. If you have any dietary restrictions [allergies, vegetarian, vegan, etc.] please click HERE to let Matt, Andrea, and Mike know

Things to bring:

  • Mug/Water Bottle – There will be a coffee maker and water fountain onsite for your use
  • Change of Clothes – spills happen, or something clean for after a shower
  • Toiletries – Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Deodorant/Antiperspirant, Soap/Shampoo/Towel [Showers are available at the Gym for those who do not live in residence]
  • Headphones – A great way to block out the room around you or to signify you do not want to be disturbed

PLEASE NOTE – Though the event allows you to work for 48 hours straight, we suggest taking some breaks – sleep and hygiene can be key to finishing strong and enjoying the experience.
