Welcome to an noob novel visual novel jam created especially for beginners, new VN developers, writers, artists, and creators who want a place to showcase their work.
There is NO required theme for this jam.
You are free to create whatever kind of Visual Novel you want — romance, horror, comedy, mystery, drama, sci-fi, psychological, LGBTQ+, experimental, wholesome, dark, or something completely different.
The main purpose of this jam is to encourage new VN creators and give beginner developers and artists an opportunity to create, experiment, finish a project, and showcase their talent.
You don't need professional experience. You don't need a large team. You don't need a huge budget.
Winners
The top entries will be ranked based on community voting. The Top 3 will be recognized as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place.

There is no fixed theme, genre, story, art style, or setting.
The only major requirement is that your submission must be a Visual Novel.
Please read these rules carefully. Breaking the rules may result in disqualification from the jam.
1. BE POLITE - No harassment, bullying, insults, personal attacks, or abusive behavior.
Repeated or serious violations may result in disqualification and/or removal from the jam.
2. NO AI CONTENT - AI-generated content is strictly forbidden in this jam.
If significant AI-generated content is discovered, the submission may be disqualified from the jam.
3. GRAPHIC AND NSFW CONTENT - You are allowed to create dark, mature, violent, horror, or otherwise disturbing VNs.
However, if your game contains sexual, NSFW, gore, graphic violence, disturbing imagery, or other potentially sensitive content, you MUST clearly warn players before they play.
Failure to provide appropriate warnings may result in disqualification.
4. COPYRIGHT AND CREATOR RIGHTS - You must have the right to use everything included in your game.
You may use assets that are legitimately available for game development, provided that you follow their license requirements and give the required credits.
5. NEW PROJECT ONLY - Existing or previously released projects are NOT allowed.
The game you submit must be a new project created specifically for this jam.
You may reuse your own existing assets, such as artwork, music, backgrounds, code, or other resources, as long as you own the rights to use them.
However, submitting an already-made or previously released game as your jam entry is not allowed.
If an existing project is submitted, the entry will be removed from the jam.
To clarify the jam rules:
Previously made assets are allowed. You may reuse your own existing assets, including artwork, sprites, backgrounds, music, sound effects, code, and other resources, as long as you own the rights to use them.
You may also use existing worldbuilding or create a new story within a universe you have previously established. You do not need to create a completely new universe for the jam.
However, the game/project itself must be a new work created specifically for this jam.
