Any of these sound familiar to you? If so, then come along and join us for the NO EXCUSES GAME JAM! The only game jam for people who make excuses for themselves.

This Jam is open to all participants of any age from anywhere in the world! We want you to make the best game you can in the space of 25 weeks. the main objective of this jam is to STOP people making excuses, and START a creative competition for newcomers and veterans alike.

Teams are allowed. You can also work alone.

Rules

• No NSFW (18+) content. Everything should be suitable for most ages. Blood is allowed.
• The game must be created within the duration of the jam.
• You may use ANY game engine to create the game.
• The game should be posted here on itch.io and playable for free on at least one of the following platforms: Android, iOS, Windows, OSX or Web.
• Updates to the entry are allowed.

Themes

The themes for this game jam are

1. Choose a path

2. Build it, then use it

3. Evolve

You can choose from one or more of the given themes. Choosing a theme is not mandatory if you already have an idea. Keep in mind that games that make use of at least one theme will be judged more generously than those without.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The prizes will be in the form of Game keys. The games are as follows:

1st Place: 3 keys from a choice of 6.

2nd Place: 2 keys from a choice of 3.

3rd Place: 1 key.

Nowadays, you don't need to know how to code to make a game! (but it does help) You can start by learning a game engine such as:
