Nightmare Game Jams are monthly horror themed game jams that welcome all levels of indie game developers no matter the experience in hopes of learning and testing skills. Even though the main theme is Horror there will be a random additional theme to follow with each new jam. Every game will be ranked in FIVE categories. Each jam will be followed up with a youtube video showcasing a number of the games made.

Rules

#1 No working on the game until the official date.

#2 No resubmitting a game you made already. 

#3 Be nice to others. (duh)

#4 Can use premade assets just remember your goal is to LEARN and have FUN! Oh, and have permission to use others premade assets.

#5 Can submit unfinished and buggy games.

#6 The ranking categories witch games are ranked on are story, sound design, level design, uniqueness, UI design and functionality.

#7 Games must run on windows, everything else is a plus.

#8 3d games are preferred but ALL is welcome.

#9 Use Any engine you like just make sure the game works for windows.

Five Ranked Categories 

 Story

Is your story structured? does it make sense? is there a start and ending? 

Level Design

Does everything in your level go together? does the colors align with your level? 

Sound Design 

does the sounds align with your level? does your sounds match the scene? do you even have sounds?;) 

Uniqueness 

is your level and story common or is there a twist? 

UI Design And Functionality

Do you have a pause button? does it work?
