The NewStrategy Game Jam is a Game Jam where you must make innovative, creative, and unorthodox games of the strategy genre.

We've all played games where you lead an army against an opposing army, or rule a nation and attempt to outdo your neighbors, but how many times have you seen a game where say, you play as the head of the Spanish Inquisition and try to crush opposing faiths, play as the evil empire trying to hunt down that resilient band of heroes before they can find the seven gems of power, or play as a charity and  run advertisement and hold events in order to raise money for your cause.

This Game Jam is about advancing the genre of strategy, and creating new ideas that haven't been tried before.                                                             Join if you want to think outside the box and create something different.

There won't be any specific theme, so feel free to make any idea you can think of!

This Game Jam won't be ranked; it isn't meant to be a competition and is just about creating new interesting pieces of art!

Your game can  be of any style, on any system, with any engine

This is a very casual event, so you can feel free to spend as much or as little time as you want on this Game Jam. 

If you want to just spend a little of your free time during the event, then that's great, and if you want to spend a significant amount of time working on a game, then that's even better!
