👋Hello to all of YOU!👋

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

🎮About Jam

This jam is for developers who's been stuck, overwhelmed, or burned out with;

  1. Scope creep
  2. Bad design
  3. Tutorial hell
  4. Impatience
  5. Lack of Motivation

and so other reasons. I'm hosting this because I've faced some this issues. Everyone struggles in certain things always. This jam is a chance to push past those barriers  -  together as a community!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

👁‍🗨Expectations

The main goal of this jam is to make a game in here in 2-3 month (Time can be adjusted at any time), and then make a steam page of games that you guys are made along this lifetime of 2-3 months, so you are basically making a game for yourself, not for jam

I will also share my bit knowledge about Game Design if you ask questions related with that. That's why there is rule about Community  in the first place.

So wrapping things up, you can expect these things from this jam and from me, Mukuyev;

  • Long journey
  • No breaks
  • Helpful and chill community building together
  • Learning and Teaching each other, Supporting
  • Determination to the end
  • Finishing and polishing games that we are making along the way

What can I give you all while also participating in this jam;

  • Being active in community
  • Helping in your design
  • Telling you tips that you should/shouldn't do
  • Frequently explaining controversial topics in detail (with YouTube videos, or with articles)
  • Playing and giving you guys a feedback
  • and overall, If I know something I will help, If I don't I will try to help

And again, our one essential goal that we will thrive for, is making a game which we can put to the steam page

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

📌Rules

  • Do not use game templates
  • Be active on Community! (It is very required, I also be active in there, so try to make connections!)
  • Do not steal others design ideas completely, just be creative!
  • Using assets is okay
  • Using AI for making assets is okay, or for asking suggestion, but I don't suggest using for Game Design desicions or mechanic ideas
  • Watching game tutorials is okay (but watching whole game tutorials is not okay)
  • You need to enjoy (yeah this is rule :D)
  • Do not forget that your games need to be below 1 Gb (If you want to submit your game in itch)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

⏳Submission

Submission is a little bit off topic really in our situation, so that's why I came up with this idea.

  1. Each team needs to submit their games in first week!
  2. After the first initial week, the update stages is going to come in place, where you are going to update your game
  3. Each time, we will discuss updated games on community, and try to give feedback, learn from his/her mistakes or from his/her knowledge.
  4. Community is going to be our home-like place, where submissions is going to be rated by all participants who played the game, by just replying.
  5. The criteria for replying is going to be in this list:
Game Quality15%
Art and Aesthetics10%
Sound and Music5%
Scope Management10%
Originality15%
Theme Integration15%

in each section rating is from 0 to 100, after each ratings is multiplied with the percentage, then divided into 100, we add all of them, and there is final score!

But, as you see this is ranked, which means when the jam is finished, judges will give ratings, so for that I think I will invite people that I know for giving final scores. This is not essential but I think it will spice things up.

and, If you would package your game to Windows, it would be great!
