Welcome to Moon Jam! Moon Jam is a new weeklong game jam trying to feature unique limitations and themes that aren’t present in other jams!
1. All games must be playable in a browser, or have a way to access without downloading. (HTML5, WebGL, etc are all fine, but it must be playable in the browser)
2. Games must follow the limitation.
3. Games should preferably be made entirely during the jam. You can brainstorm ideas before the jam starts, using the theme and decide on an outline is fine. You are also welcome to work on your game after the jam’s voting period has ended, but major updates should not be pushed during the voting period (though minor updates such as bug fixes are allowed). You can even use pre-made assets and code if you have the rights to it, though it’s more fun to build from the ground up
4. No AI generated code, art, music, or other assets. Generative AI sucks, you can do better than it.
5. No NSFW content whatsoever. If you must know what’s allowed and what isn’t, use the #askahost channel in the discord.
6. Have fun! The jam isn’t super serious, and I encourage participants to have fun and enjoy themselves. If you aren’t having fun, take a break.
For the second Moon Jam, the theme is Duality.

The limitation is Your Story. Make something that connects to you in some way—past, present or future. Use your identity, culture, or anything else to make a game that is uniquely yours. Tell a story that you remember, a story you never got to experience, an ode to a past self, or anything and everything at all!
