โจ MOON GAME JAM ๐
Build a game under the light of the moon!
Fly solo or grab a team, pick your tools, and build something amazing in one week. Whether you're a first-timer or a jam veteran, Moon Game Jam is about creating, experimenting, and having fun under the moonlight. When the theme drops, let your imagination run wild — we can't wait to see what you make! ๐โจ
๐ TBD ๐
The theme will be revealed the moment the jam kicks off! Once it drops, it's completely up to your interpretation — take it literally, take it sideways, make it weird. Good luck and have fun, Moon Jammers! ๐

Do I need a team?
NO — you can enter solo or in a team of up to 4 people.
How do I find teammates?
Head to the Discord — that's the best place to team up before the jam starts.
When do we find out the theme?
Right when the jam kicks off on Aug 12 — keep an eye on the Discord and this page!
Can I use assets I bought or downloaded before the jam?
Yes, pre-made art/sound/music packs are fine. The game itself just needs to be built during the jam window.
Can I use AI tools?
Yes — AI-assisted art, code, or writing is allowed.
What engine should I use?
Whatever you're comfortable with (Godot, Unity, Construct, GDevelop, WebGL, etc.) as long as it can export to HTML5 / Web build.
Is there a game size or platform requirement?
Yes — all games must be playable in the browser (HTML5). Desktop downloads (exe/mac) are not supported for this jam.
Can I submit after the deadline?
No — late submissions won't be accepted or judged.
How does voting work?
All submitters can rate other entries. Ratings go through a randomized queue to keep things fair.
What if my team breaks up mid-jam?
That happens sometimes — you can finish solo or submit whatever you've made as a team.
Is NSFW or 18+ content allowed?
No — all submissions must be safe for a general audience. No nudity, sexual content, or excessive gore.
Who do I contact with questions?
Ask in the Discord — that's the fastest way to reach us.
