Theme

With a rather small number of participants it's even more important to find a theme that suits as many of you as possible. So instead of assigning a theme that you may or may not like, there will be 3 periods of theme-voting.

The first one is the suggestion period and starts on Monday, 15.04.. It lasts until Sunday, 28.04. and is all about collecting cool ideas. Everyone (including people who don't plan to join the jam) is welcome to suggest themes. Post them in the jam channel in discord during the suggestion period and we'll collect them all. Have a lot of ideas? No problem, post them all!

The second period is the elimination voting that lasts from Monday, 29.04. to Sunday 12.05. and is all about shrinking the amount of theme suggestions. I will post the list of theme suggestions again for you to vote on. This time we ask you to only vote if you plan to join the jam - as we want the jammers to have a theme they like the most. But you still may vote on all themes that you like.

And the third period is the final voting and lasts from Monday, 13.05. to Thursday, 16.05. and is about finding the ultimate theme. We put the 5 most voted themes of the previous period up for vote again. This time, everyone who plans to join, has only one vote to choose their favorite theme.

 Rules

Your game should be playable either on the web or on Windows to enable as many people as possible to play your game. - There are no engine restrictions, use whatever you are comfortable with. - For art assets you may use all available Minifantasy packs and patreon exclusives. You may edit them to your needs as long as the overall style can still clearly be identified as Minifantasy. Your own additional assets may be used as long as they are only supplementary (a splash screen for example). - For other needs like music, sound effects, fonts, etc. you may use any freely available assets.

Q: I am not sure if I can make it to the Jam. Am I allowed to take part in the votings that are exclusive to the Jammers?

A: Feel free to decide on your own. If you believe you can make it, please take part!

Q: There are only 5 themes in the final voting, and it is openly voted about. Couldn't someone just prepare or even start early when the theme starts to become clear?

A: Yes, but as this Jam is meant to be a small and private one, we prioritized having a theme that is selected by as many as possible over a possible cheat opportunity.

Q: Is the Minifantasy Sci-Fi pack considered Minifantasy in regard to the rules?

A: Sure!

Q: Can I use assets that are created from generators and AI generated content?

A: Yes.
