 Voting Criteria

Submissions will be judged based on the following:

  • Gameplay

  • Audio

  • Mechanic Implementation

  • Graphics

  • Replayability

  • Theme

 Rules

  • No NSFW content - Keep your submission appropriate for a general audience.

  • No Gore - Keep it clean and creative.

  • No Raw AI-generated content - You can use AI tools for assistance (e.g., debugging, idea generation), but do not submit AI-generated games, or assets ) If AI is used, be transparent and declare how/where it helped in the submission questionnaire.

  • Premade assets are allowed, but:

    • Clearly declare what premade assets you used.

    • Credit paid assets and their original creators (art, music, SFX, etc.).

    • You're encouraged to make new assets where possible.

  • No Bot or Spam Games  - Submissions that appear spammy or non-functional will be disqualified.

  • WebGL Only  - All submissions must be playable in-browser. (No downloadable builds due to malware risk.)

  • You can update your game freely until voting begins.

  • Assets and Art :  Make sure you target the overall aesthetics to match 8 Bit games!

 ( choose one or the other) If you think you can.... Why not mix the two together....
All themes and mechanics will and can work together. You have the freedom of choice and how you would like to make your game!

Mechanic 1: Spreading

Tile Corruption - player actions trigger patterns that spread across the map, which must be controlled.

Infectious Movement - touching enemies or objects causes the spread of states (color, damage, abilities).

Expanding Territory - every move grows influence outward, but uncontrolled spreading leads to failure.

Mechanic 2: Collection

Chain Collecting - items can only be picked up in specific sequences, creating puzzles.


  • Magnetic Collecting -  gathering one item attracts or repels others, forcing planning.

  • Evolving Collecting - each collected item changes the player, altering movement or abilities.
