Ferris's day off.

In-Person Part

In order to attend this event in person, you must also click this link to register for a free spot in the physical room. The in-person event is in the Apache Room 017 at the Albuquerque Event Center in the lower level of the west building on Friday, September 15th 2023 from 9:00am until 1:00pm (we may go a little later than that if we're having fun).

Online Part

Anyone is welcome to participate online from any location as well! No room registration is required for that.

Rules (well, they're more like guidelines)

  • Game must use the Rust language in some way.  We encourage you to write the game in a pure-Rust game engine (like Bevy), but if you want to use a Rust plugin with Godot or some other engine, go for it.
  • This is a MINI game jam - only 4 hours long! Just make something quick that works, and try to make it fun.
  • Group up with others, or go solo. Either is fine.
  • Follow normal Rust community behavior rules.
  • The theme is just to give you ideas. Make whatever you want. Your game will be judged on how fun it is to play, not on how polished it is.
  • Using pre-existing assets (like ferris images) is TOTALLY OKAY! Using pre-existing code is also okay. This game jam isn't long enough to spend making everything from scratch.

Prizes & Rewards

Just that satisfied feeling that you built a fun little game in Rust. Also, Nathan will tell you that you are awesome for participating, because you are. ๐Ÿ˜„
