💖 Make a ROMANCE GAME 💖 with us in time for Valentine's Day to improve our gamemaking skills, all within 6 HOURS.
Open to anyone in the NYC/NJ area who can come in-person to work with us in downtown Manhattan. If you can not attend in person for whatever reason (you're sick, you're not local, etc.), feel free to submit anyway by EOD, but note we may not be able to provide any critique or feedback.
REQUIREMENTS
- A romantic story with 2 characters (min.) involved. Mechanics are OK but the story must come FIRST.
- Teams or SOLO is 🆗
- Must be OG. No fanfiction involved (sorry, we love AUs too!)
- It must be created from scratch at the start of the jam. Research and sketches are OK but all assets/code/etc. must be made during the jam.
- No AI-made assets 🤖 We recommend creating as much assets by scratch to avoid potential oversight.
- Chocolate must be included somehow, either as an asset or incorporated into the story 🍫
- Finished and uploaded as a 🖥️ Window Build 🖥️ to itch.io @ 6PM.

RECOMMENDED TOOLS/SOFTWARE
- Headphones (it's a library after all so 🤫)
- A laptop/portable PC that can run your choice of engine at the latest/preferred version.
- Snacks and drinks 🧃🍫 We will be meeting prior for coffee if you're privy and I will bring a little bit of chocolate to share as well.
- A drawing tablet (IPad, Wacom) with illustration software (Clip Studio, Procreate)
- A MIDI keyboard or guitar that can be plugged in with headphones + audio software (Audacity, FL Studio)
- NOTE: Available seating and outlets will vary since it is a public space so I recommend having everything charged ahead of time JUST IN CASE.
