DESCRIPTION:

"On the 1st day of MigJam, our host gave to me, 12 days to finish a game". Yes that's right Migjam #4 is back now with Christmas Carol for all with a new theme "The Bard" and a secret limitation that I will pick for this jam.  The last Migjam had some great submissions and this time I will give 12 days since we have a Xmas coming up.

Limitation: The player is the bard so "Use sounds to trigger new events"

This could be using sounds to open doors, defeat (hurt) enemies, unlock secrets, move the player, be as creative as you can

Q: Where can I get sounds that are free?

A: https://freesound.org/ You may need to give credit to the author if needed.

Q: Can I make my own sounds?

A: HECK YES!! if you can beat box, make fart noices, or any unique (appropriate) sounds

Q: Can I use an instrument for sounds or online sound maker?

A: Yes! you can use chip tone https://sfbgames.itch.io/chiptone or any other sounds app

Q: I have no game ideas. What would you recommend?

A: What about a top-down game where you have a giant keyboard that you step on to make sounds and use the sound to defeat enemies

Q: Can it be a rythim game?

A: As long the sound triggers an event that is okay. Make something unique to you

Be as creative as you can and take your time there are 12 days to complete!

5. The theme and limitation is required, but it's really for fun so I won't disqualify anyone with an original submission
6. WebGL is ideal so that all can play.
