DESCRIPTION:

MigJam #30 is a 15 day video game jam with a theme that will be revealed at the start of the game jam. This will be a rated game jam and the Best Overall game will receive 1st $15, the 2nd Best Overall $10, and 3rd Best Overall $5.  Normally I participate on the game jam to motivate others , but this time I will be monitoring the rating and judging of the games.

Question:

Can I submit games that are not WebGL?

Answer:

I would prefer Webgl only as there are lots of cases of hacks. Your game might not get many plays or ratings due to a non web version game

What if I submit a game that is not related to the theme?

Answer:

I will remove and disqualify any games that are not related to the theme. This is to prevent cheating and using other accounts to boast rating

What game engine can I use?

Answer:

Any game engine is allowed

How will the games be rated?

Answer:

All those that submit a game can rate a game. So if you joined and did not submit a game you can't rate other games. If you like to participate in the rating, I would recommend that you at least submit whatever you have even an unfinished game is great

Is there an age limit to win the game jam?

Answer:

Technically Yes. You have to be 18 or older to participate to be able to win. USA and UK there is an age limit other countries have more ease, but to keep things uniform.  You have to be 18 or older to join this game Jam

If I win first price, 2nd or 3rd, how will I receive the $15, $10, or $5?

Answer:

You will need to open a PayPal account (18 + can) or Itch.io allow Stripe as well. I will donate the amount through the itch.io account. As long it is it through Stripe or Paypal, I will allow it

Can I put my game for sale for an amount?

Answer:

No, all games must be free to play for everyone to enjoy and rank. Games that have a pay amount will be disqualified

2. You may use any assets you have legal access to
3. No NSFW or bigoted content or actions. No Harassing members.
4. No Spamming or plagiarizing of content.
5. The theme is required.
6. WebGL only since recent hacks
7. Must be 18 or older to participate
8. Must have a PayPal account, Stripe or any account to be able to donate to the Itch.io Account
9. Your game must be made starting and ending of the game jam
10. All Games Must be Free. I will disqualify for sale games
