Midsummer Jam is a creative jam, open for both games and non-games to be created and showcased!
It will take place in Abertay University, but is open to everyone! It's a free and environmental friendly event. Coffee, tea and kettles will be provided, but you bring your own mug so we don't use disposable cups.
PC'c will be provided, but it's encouraged to bring your own.
If you can't jam on-site, there are options to jam remotely too. Just sign up for a remote ticket below.
During the Friday - Sunday we will also be streaming the Game Dev World conference in the Main Lecture Theatre. It's a free conference that will have speakers from around the world, making it a proper eco-friendly and global event! No travel cost, everyone can participate! Just sign up on their site as a viewer and you're good to go.
On the Sunday we will have a play party! More information to come. :)
The jam theme will kindly be provided by Rami Ismail! Revealed on the Monday evening, both on-site at Abertay and online on our social media channels.

Code of Conduct:
We wish for participants to exercise consideration and respect in their speech and actions, attempt collaboration before conflict, and refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behaviour and speech. We also expect the same consideration and respect to be applied to games and content created during the event.
Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert our event organisers immediately if you notice a dangerous situation, someone in distress, or violations of this Code of Conduct, even if they seem inconsequential.
Unacceptable Behaviour
Unacceptable behaviours include: intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory or demeaning speech or actions by any participant in our site locations or online community, at all related events and in one-on-one communications carried out in the context of community business. Community event venues may be shared with members of the public; please be respectful to all patrons of these locations.
Harassment includes: harmful or prejudicial verbal or written comments related to gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, appearance, ethnicity, national origin, citizenship, socio-economic status, or religion; deliberate intimidation, stalking or following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; inappropriate physical contact; and unwelcome sexual attention.
Consequences of Unacceptable Behaviour
Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behaviour is expected to comply immediately. If a community member engages in unacceptable behaviour, event organisers may take action to stop the unacceptable behaviour, up to and including a temporary ban or permanent expulsion from the community without warning (and without refund in the case of a paid event).
If You Witness or Are Subject to Unacceptable Behaviour
If you are subject to or witness unacceptable behaviour, or have any other concerns, please report this to one of the organisers, either on-site or via email to: midsummerjam@gmail.com
