Hello!

I thought that, your recommendation to not die due to bugs, followed by the first hole and me dying right away, was honestly genius. I just laughed! Very nice looking game. I propose to show the "Grab" text only after getting the upgrade.

Congratulations!

Cheers.

PS: try to find the sequence break in our game! :D

HAHA not gonna lie... I've fallen into the same hole so many mf times during development. Glad you found some humor in it.

I'll definitely check out your game! Its finally the weekend so i'm gonna go through the list of folks who've commented here first then dig into other submissions. Looking forward to it! Thanks for checking out our project :)

Definitely one of the better-looking games I've seen here, or in any game jam in general. The lore is also really interesting and fleshed out! As someone already mentioned, the performance is a bit of an issue, and a simple patchwork solution you could try implementing in the future is just adding the option to download the game, as that can often fix any lag caused by the player's browser. You definitely have something special here though, do carry on whenever you have the time!

Its a little lagging, I died immediately because of the hole right next to you, there were things to interact E nanoport that didnt do anything right at the first moment, the moves started to build up really quickly and right when you got JETpack you lost Q ability to climb up ledge.... it looked cool, and the robot animations were wonderful, the vibe was interesting. It was a lot all at once with a little strange lagging movement, probably webGL..either way 3.8/5

Good job

Thanks for checking it out! We definitely lacked in the level design department for sure lol One of the main things that makes a metroidvania a metroidvania is solid level design! We are planning on continuing development and intend on addressing a LOT of buggy issues. :)

Having trouble getting this one to run unfortunately.   It lags for me and when I checked tasks manager chrome is taking up all the CPU power and this is my only tab.  Any suggestions?  Would love to play it more!

Edit: Turning on hardware acceleration fixed the issue!  Really liked this game, especially the footsteps and music gave it a lot of ambiance.  I really liked reading the lore too.

I think one suggestion I would make would be to have the 'Press S to push/pull' text only visible if the player has the upgrade for it.  I found the push/pull block on the bottom level before I found the arm so I thought it was a glitch.

Awesome game!

This happens to one  of my friends as well whenever i have sent him webgl builds. We never solved it but you could try this.

In Chrome

  1. From the upper-right corner of your Chrome browser, click the three dots icon.
  2. Select Settings, then System.
  3. Enable Use hardware acceleration when available.

This fixed it!  I edited my comment.  Thank you!

Yeah I've just disabled that setting on my pc and the game ran terribly so that should fix it.

Really Glad you enjoyed it. We did intend to disable the text for interactable items when they are not currently interactable but we simply ran out of time and that didnt make the cut cut haha.

Nice looks. I have to play that game again after I had some sleep though. Because right now I cannot figure out where to go next.

One thing, though. Having to close the dialogs with the mouse kinda breaks the game flow, since your hands are either on the keyboard or the gamepad.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately the level design still needed a bit of polishing but it didn't make it in time for the jam. We do intened on continuing work on this to give it a more finished feel.

thanks for the feedback! I THINK… I could be wrong… but I THINK… you can close the dialogues with “enter”, but I mighta removed that temporarily and never put it back.

That was great! Didn't really run into any bugs and I loved the aesthetic.
