Welcome to the Newbie Mod Jam, organized by the Mass Effect Modding Discord!
To celebrate the launch of the Legendary Explorer (LEX), toolset for Legendary Edition that was released this weekend, we've decided to organize a new modding jam! This jam is directed specifically towards new and aspiring modders, so veteran modders avert your eyes. This is the playground for our newcomers, the theater for you to learn about our modding scene and the complexity of our tools. 

Since this mod jam is for you up-and-coming modders, there will be no set theme for this one. If you were thinking: "I want to make something but...I don't know how" then come and learn how the tools work, how the sausage gets made, and make something, anything, as long as it's a mod for the Legendary Edition. 

The mods submitted can be anything from texture mods to bugfixes to entirely new content! Feel free to explore your creative side with this jam, and show us how good you can be!

If you're wondering "am I a newbie modder? I've released a couple of mods so far" then don't worry - as long as you haven't released anything beyond a simple texture mod, Coalesced edit, headmorph or other minor content mod, we'll accept your submission. If you have a modder role in the discord, you won't be eligible for this jam. If you're still not sure, feel free to message us via @Glyph, our modmail bot, and we'll let you know.

Submisssions will be judged via voting in 3 categories. These will be Originality, Complexity, and Functionality. TWO winners will triumph over the rest, and both of them will win a copy of THE ART OF THE MASS EFFECT TRILOGY: EXPANDED EDITION! Postage will be covered as well (though please note we will be shipping from the UK).

To download Legendary Explorer, simply go to the Tools window in ME3Tweaks Mod Manager and click Legendary Explorer (Nightly).
