Taking a cue from the Better Souls-like Jam (a good portion of this intro text is copied from there - if it ain't broke, don't fix it, right?), there has been a lot of (negative) discussion around the application of a new RPG system for a super hero IP focused game.  So this jam is an opportunity for us to flex our creativity and, without overstepping fair use and copyright rules, show the TTRPG community what you think a good super hero game looks like!

The rules are simple:

  • Write an original (or submit an already written) tabletop role-playing game inspired by the pantheon of super hero that captures what you think are the important bits and stuff about the game/genre and how those different heroes can cross paths in your game.
  • Feel free to hack an existing game, build something on an available SRD, or whatever you like!
  • Charge whatever you like for your game, or not. You deserve to be paid for your work. (Community copies are always cool, tho.)
  • Multiple submissions are totally fine. I envy your boundless energy and enthusiasm.
  • Respect copyrighted material, but I'm not a cop, so  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  • No hate speech, bigotry, n*zi bullshit, any of that.  You know what's wrong, so do what's right.

If you need some inspiration, poke around on game design twitter or fb groups. So many people are talking about the (paid for) play test you can hardly miss it.
