Introduction

Marmalade Media is a media production group run by creators, for creators. We want to be free to create the projects we envision and help other creators do the same. We produce our own audio drama series on YouTube called Star Dust, about a kid who wants to continue his uncle's legacy and become a famous radio star. In a couple of years we'll provide our own team of writers to help on small creator's projects.

Our latest idea to help creators now is to host our very own game jam with a fun twist!

Interact With Other Jammers!

You can join our public Discord Server to interact with other jammers and find a team to join for the jam. Please follow the server rules. 

The Twist

At the beginning of submissions you will be given a list of themes to choose from for your game, and you'll have a little under two weeks to complete it, either solo or with a team of your own choice of size. 

The twist being that halfway through the jam, we'll reveal a second theme you also have to incorporate into your game! We hope this will spark some creativity as themes clash and mesh in different ways.

- Let's go out for Chinese tonight!

Judging

Your game will be judged based on five different categories:

FUN - How fun is it to play your game?

FIRST-THEME RELEVANCE - How relevant is your game to the first theme?

SECOND-THEME RELEVANCE - How relevant is your game to the second theme?

CREATIVE - How creative did you get with the themes, gameplay, or style?

ART - How is the art direction? Is it fun, cute, cool, surreal? 


Rules

Use Assets You Have Rights To - This includes assets you made yourself (which should be made during the jam) or assets you have purchased licenses to use, or fair-use assets. 
Disclose Maturity - If your game contains content not suitable for everyone, please disclose that information on the game's page or before the game begins. 

Be Respectful - Please don't trash other people's games or the individual. Constructive criticism is welcomed if they ask for it.
