Welcome to the Marcusk Game Jam. This event is an opportunity for developers and creators to build something unique for the Marcusk community. Whether you're an experienced programmer or trying something new, we encourage everyone to participate.
Submissions should be centered around one of the following themes:
The theme is intentionally broad to encourage creativity and allow for a wide range of ideas and interpretations.

Projects should be original and created specifically for this game jam.
There will be two separate awards:
The community will vote for their favorite submission.
The voting will take place on this site, and you don't have to submit to vote; the public vote will have a close date of TBD.
A panel of judges will evaluate each project based on creativity, execution, polish, and overall quality.
Judging will take place live during a Discord Stage, where submissions will be showcased before the winners are announced.
We encourage participants to think outside the box. Whether you create a new gameplay mechanic, an engaging plugin, or a complete game experience, originality and thoughtful design will be key factors in making your project stand out.
Participants who place well in either the Community Vote or Judges' Choice categories will receive emeralds to be used on the Discord server. Additional details regarding prizes will be announced closer to the event.
