It's time to make Moves.

What This Jam Is:
This is a jam to create or share singular Moves using Powered by the Apocalypse (PbtA) design philosophies. The Moves can be stand alone ideas, created for a game that exists, custom moves you have already made, or fever dreams for games that have not and may never happened.

PbtA games are inspired by or in conversation with Apocalypse World by Meguey & Vincent Baker (the 3rd edition is funding right now).

Why This Jam Is:
We live in a time where the world around us is challenging in ways that can feel (and often are) overwhelming and intimidating. In the year 2026 the team at Plus One Exp, along with some of our friends, want to challenge ourselves to get more comfortable making Hard Moves. To push back against what is happening in our communities, creative spaces, and world. And while we want to make Hard Moves... maybe that's not your thing, or you don't have the bandwidth.

That's fine.

We think the world would be better if we were all making intentional moves in 2026. So in addition to challenging ourselves by dropping a zine and some merch reflecting on Hard Moves, we wanted to host a community jam celebrating all kinds of Moves.

So this is our invitation to you.
This year, make a Move.

Let your life, dreams, fantasies, or choices inspire you and others.
Make your moves Hard, Sharp, Cool, Weird, Aggro, Slick, Gooey, Hot, Cold, Dark, Whale, or Whatever.

Write moves that ask questions.
Moves with a cost.
Moves that are basic.
Moves that are special.
Step up & Make Moves.

What This Jam Is Not:
Something that should drain you or feel like a chore.
This isn't a Dungeon23 or a City24 or something that has to be a large chunk of design.

Pick one Move to make this year & try to get it done.

If you want to make a lot of Moves.
That's great. Make more moves.

How to Start:
We will be dropping tools & resources as we go and we know other folks will also.
Last night (at the time of writing) Aaron helped 0sarahxfrank0 make her 1st move.

Each month we will be hosting special guests to talk more about moves they have made, moves they love, and how to make moves.
