Let's finish our released projects!

Have you released a:

- demo

-teaser

-first act/chapter or otherwise incomplete project

-nominally completed project that is missing assets (art, music, effects) that you'd planned to add later?

I think a lot of  us have these kinds of projects! We push to get things released for jam deadlines, hoping to return to them, and then the jam energy is gone and there's a new jam tempting us to start a new project instead!

So here's an opportunity to commit to working on these updates! Putting out these full releases! And then at the end we'll play each other's updates and tell each other good job!

Rules:

1. Either the game or the devs (or both!) should be queer in some way. (Whether or not your submission qualifies is up to you, we're not the police.)
2. NSFW, heavy, transgressive themes encouraged (because I think they should exist! and be completed and updated! especially during these times!) Tag appropriately!
3. 18+ participation only.
4. No generative AI. No image gen, no LLM stuff. It can not be in the game you are updating and it can not be part of the update.
5. No entries promoting racism, queerphobia, nazis, bigotry, transphobia, etc etc, we want a space that amplifies queer and BIPOC voices.
6. The thing you are updating does not have to be a game. It can really be any category of thing. It could even be, say, some prose you wanted to adapt to another medium or something like that. I am personally expecting (and hoping for) a lot of visual novels in this jam.
7. Your game does not have to be complete after the update! Just try for some progress.

How does this work?

Hi, my name is Jams and this is my jam! This is not going to be confusing at all. It is my first time hosting a jam so I hope you like it. Here's how it's going to go:

Identify a project you want to commit to updating or completing! Ideally it has already been released in some form, though this is flexible. Set some goals for the project, figure out what it needs to really feel completed, do your best and put out your update!

Upload your update to the itch page. It might be helpful to keep the original version available to download in case people were curious to compare and contrast.

Discord: The amazing and wonderful Fisher is generously offering the use of its Jam Server for us to share updates, find collaborators, and get help and support! Please read the rules and be a good guest! Wow! Thank you Fisher :)

Yay!
