Game Exhibit:

Do you ever get the feeling that your games go unnoticed? Well, you're in luck! At the MADE, it's our mission to showcase games, and yours will be no exception. Every game created during the Jam will be proudly displayed on our showfloor, offering all of our patrons the chance to experience them firsthand. Who knows, your games might even serve as inspiration for children eager to dive into game development themselves.

FAQ:

Can we be online?

Unfortunately, No. The whole idea of this jam is to be in-person with others and meet them face-to-face. Don't be discouraged if you can’t join our jam though, there are hundreds of Online Game Jams, check them out on Itch.io.

Can we use AI?

We are currently living in an era of rapidly increasing technology, where AI tools such as chatGPT and Midjourney have become prominent. While these tools offer immense assistance, they also give rise to ethical concerns and apprehensions about what is morally acceptable to utilize. After much deliberation, we have reached the following decision: AI assistants are permissible for programming assistance if necessary, but AI-generated art is not permitted in our jam.

Can we be in teams?

YES! This is a one-day game jam, so it is highly encouraged to collaborate with your fellow developers in crafting a game. There will be an hour-long period prior to the jam's start just to facilitate introductions and group formation. Since this is an in-person jam, make the most of the space and seize the opportunity to connect with others!

Do I need experience to join?

Nope! In fact, this is a fantastic learning opportunity! We will encourage you to team up with an experienced developer so you can benefit from their knowledge while collaborating on your projects!

Can I use the "x" engine?

You may use any Game Engine or IDE’s that you wish (yes that means you can make browser based applications) with the EXCEPTION of IDE’s that are tied to another game (I.E Roblox, Dreams, Scratch, etc) You may NOT use these.;

Can I use pre-made assets?

We strongly recommend making them from scratch. However if you want, you may use any assets that YOU have made in the past. Talk to the artists in your team and find out what works best for them.

Is Food Provided?

We will only provide snacks and water, there will be a dedicated hour where jammers can find lunch in the Swan's Market Area.
