About this event

In teams of 2–4, you’ll have just 48 hours to design, build, and ship a playable game. This jam is open to all university students and students of all skill levels!

Theme

The theme is decided by you! Before the Opening Ceremony, all participants will be able to vote on a shortlist of themes in our Discord. The vote will end when the Opening Ceremony starts, and the most popular will become the theme.

Voting Categories

Fun

Is the game enjoyable and engaging to play? Are you entertained?

Feel and Polish

Is the interface user-friendly? Does it feel smooth and refined? Is the gameplay responsive?

Creativity

Is there anything unique about the game's idea or execution? Does it tie well with the theme?

Audio

How effective is the game's sound design and music? Does it fit the mood and gameplay?

Theme Interpretation

How well does the game incorporate or reinterpret the jam's theme?

Rules

  • Game submissions are done through itch.io
  • You can use any game engine and tools to make your game
  • Any art and audio assets can be used as long as you have the legal right to use them (Credit must been given in submission)
  • AI-generated art/audio is NOT allowed. You can only use AI tools to assist with programming or brainstorming.
  • Games must be built entirely within the 48 hours, no code or assets created beforehand
  • Team size of 2-4 members
  • You will be disqualified if you tamper with ratings
Voting & Judging
  • Once submissions close, all participants vote on entries using the voting categories
  • Winners are decided through a combination of community voting and judging
  • Only members of teams that submitted a game can vote on other entries
  • Voting period ends August 13th 6PM (The day before closing ceremony)
