I have created certain limitations that I am challenging you to design a game withing, so let us get into them.
your game will be restricted to this pallete of 32 colors(less than the NES)! you can also only use 16 of them on screen at a time.
also, you are only allowed to use 8 colors pers sprite. good luck! (note that i changed the pallete a little at 12:05 PM Saskatchewan time on august 8th, use this one OR the old one)
games will be limited to 256*192 with leanience since a lot of game engine won't allow upscaling with pixel snapping. keep it lower than 480i at MOST.

ok; this varies depending on whap app you're using to make music, so:
FL Studio: only 3x OSC, no effects, only the envelope built in. 6 channels.
LMMS: only triple oscillator, no effects. 6 channels
BeepBox: only presets labeled 'retro', no effects
Other: find any thing that can only produce square, triangle, and saw waves. use that with no FX. 6 channels
cap you're game at 30FPS if possible;
as for file size, no more then 64 megabytes when zip compressed
