The Love/Violence jam is all about messy feelings and messy actions. Tell a story about love and violence, one as a metaphor for the other, one masquerading as the other, or some less-defined relationship between the two.
Some optional sub-themes:
- Consumption
- Possession
- Annihilation
- Liberation
This jam is focused on interactive fiction, but all games are welcome! All IF games will have pages created for them on the IFDB at the end of the jam, if they have no page by then already. If you do submit a piece of IF, you can opt in to have it uploaded to the IF Archive.
A few rules:
- Entries must follow the theme.
- All assets used must either be created by you, or properly licensed and credited. Any games with stolen assets will be removed.
- Entries that make use of AI or language-learning models are not permitted and will be removed.
- Games promoting hate or violence against real-life people or groups will be removed.
- Through at least the months of June and July, all entries should be free to play.
- Given that this jam's theme is likely to involve sensitive material, please include all relevant content warnings with your submission.
- NSFW content is allowed, but must be properly tagged and mentioned in the content warnings.
