An online game translation marathon focused on creativity, discovery and collaboration.
Running for 24 days, from the 8th to the 31st of December
Here's what you need to know:
Who can enter? Anyone with online access, of any age, from anywhere. We recommend working in teams.
Where can I find help and team mates? 👉Ask on our forum!👈
What do we translate? Avventura nel Castello, a web-based text adventure. 7000 words, plain text format. A localization-ready version of the game will be shared at the start of the jam.
What language can I translate into? From Italian into anything you want. Just be aware that our current font only supports the following: French, Italian, German, Spanish, (and any other language based on the Latin alphabet), Greek, Cyrillic, Turkish, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
You don't speak Italian? No problem! Build 1.1 now includes an unofficial English translation for your reference!
Who will judge entries? The other entrants will be able to vote their favorite entries for seven days after the end of the jam.
Can I do more?
Yes! If you have Javascript programming knowledge, you can tweak the code to take your entry to next level.
New languages: Change the system fonts to support different characters (Arabic, etc)
New scenes: Rework the code to add new scenes or rework the existing riddles
Further rules:
- Translations submitted to the LocJAM must not contain nudity, or hateful language or visuals.
- Published game must be licensed as CC BY-NC-ND, translations as CC BY-NC
