Do you like writing? do You like reading? are you able to write 10,000 words in 48 hours? well, get ready, because this is the first weekly story jam, it's like a game jam, but for stories. 

They say a picture is worth 10,000 words, so that means 10,000 words is worth 1 picture. So write the Mona Lisa.

In the words of gustau, "Anyone can [write]", so be a somebody, not a nobody. 


The rules are simple:

You will be given a prompt at 11:59 PM ET for your story. The prompts can range from 1 word to a "what if" scenario. You'll then have 48 hours in which to: write, edit, revise, and format your story to be submitted as a pdf. Make it look pretty

in a list format to check off.

1. no xenophobia can be portrayed in a positive light

2. no s*x scenes. Keep it to something you'd read in a high school English class

3. Must be submitted as a pdf

4. Must adhere to the prompt of "misunderstanding"

5. Don't work yourself to death.



grading criteria

1. plot: how good is the actual story. moving from a to b to c.

2. Character: are your characters well thought out?

3. theme: does your story have a message it is trying to get across?

4. prompt: How well does it adhere to the prompt?

5. enjoyment: how much did the judger like your story
