A short but sweet rolling platformer where you control Arnold the Hamster's ball.
Submitted by SirKawaine with 1 hour, 11 minutes before the deadline

What tools/assets did you use?
I used Unity2D as well as Piskel, Online Sprite Editor.

What tool(s) or technique(s) you were learning? What progress did you make with it/them?
Since this was my first game I've ever made I used pretty basic techniques such as creating a character controller, camera movement, colliders, etc. I feel like I made a lot of progress. While I had made a few simple games such as a simple block dodging game, and a tower defense I watched a tutorial to make, this was the first game I made completely from my own skills.

Anything else you'd like viewers to know about this submission?

My first official game jam, as well as my first game. It was so much fun!

For what you wanted to achieve, you did it well. If you ever want to go back to it, I suggest trying to separate the background and the solid objects a bit more. I couldn't tell what I would collide with, and what I wouldn't. Also, see if you can figure out what is making the hamster randomly go up a rap for no reason on flat surfaces. Other than though, solid exploration of the key components of a game.

Thanks for the feedback. If I was to revisit the game I would definitely change most of the building styles to suit my needs because all of the assets I used had flat tops, rather than angled ones. Then there were other issues that if I do revisit will definitely fix, can't wait to see what you make dude!
