SUMMARY:

- Starts on WEDNESDAY 8TH APRIL, 2026  - About 4/5 weeks long (ends on WEDNESDAY 13TH MAY)
- 2 optional themes are MACHINES and THE CITY
- Submission must be a playable level (ideally with a gameplay video)
- Any engine / game / tools allowed (Source and Unreal recommended, as they're popular with people in our Discord)

HOW TO JOIN IN:

  • This jam is hosted on Itch and open to anyone, but we will be talking and sharing progress / tips etc on on our level design discord here: https://discord.gg/geFkdZW5vp
  • The discord is a private server that you can access by supporting the Patreon (supporting at any tier will instantly grant you lifetime access): https://www.patreon.com/stevelee_gamedev 
  • Discussion, progress sharing, playtesting and postmortem feedback will all happen on the Discord server!

THE THEMES:

  • The two optional themes for this jam are MACHINES and THE CITY
  • They're both genuinely optional - you can choose to work with one, or both, or neither - it's up to you
  • Feel free to interpret the themes as simply or creatively as you like, and in a way that helps you make something cool, instead of making things hard for yourself
  • (And if the themes really don't suit you, then don't worry about it too much and make whatever you like. Also, feel free to return to an old project, and just spend the jam making it better!)
