LAGS Game Jam

[ES] ¡Queremos ser la Game Jam Latinoamericana más grande, este es un evento para que todos en América Latina o con raíces en el continente nos muestren su creatividad y habilidad para hacer juegos únicos!

[ENG] We want to be the biggest Latin American Game Jam, this is an event for everyone in Latin America or  with Latin American roots to show us their creativity and ability to make unique games!

[ES] En esta Jam invitamos a todos a mostrar un poco de nuestra cultura, hablamos de todo lo que es parte de la cultura latinoamericana, desde comida hasta lugares, desde trabajos hasta pasatiempos, desde nuestro pasado hasta el futuro incierto, desde las dificultades hasta los momentos más felices, simplemente hay demasiado que podemos contar desde los videojuegos.

[ENG] In this Jam we invite everyone to show a bit from our culture, we are talking about everything that is part from the Latin American culture, from food, to places, from jobs to hobbies, from our past to our unforeseen future, from hardships to the happiest moments, there is just too much of us that can be tell through games.

Reglas / Rules

1. Los 20 juegos con mejor evaluación, sumados a los cinco juegos con más evaluaciones competirán para ganar premios de parte del equipo de LAGS (premios a ser anunciados). Sólo los juegos que cuenten con 20 o más evaluaciones serán considerados.
2. El equipo de LAGS eligirá al menos 3 juegos para que sean parte de la Latin American Games Showcase, en su edición 2025 de la Summer Game Fest.
3. Cualquier evidencia de manipulación de las evaluaciones va a resultar en la descalificación del juego.
4. Los equipos son bienvenidos a usar elementos externos, si tienen la licencia adecuada para usarlo en el evento.
5. Los equipos pueden estar formados por hasta un máximo de 5 integrantes.
6. 60% del equipo debe ser latinoamericano (identificarse como latino).
7. No se permite contenido de IA Generativa.

1. The top 20 best rated games plus the top 5 most rated games will compete to win prizes from the LAGS team (prizes to be announced). Only games with at least 20 ratings will be eligible to win.
2. The LAGS Team will choose at least 3 games to appear in the Latin American Games Showcase, Summer Game Fest 2025 Edition.
3. Any evidence of ratings manipulation will result in the disqualification of the game.
4. Teams are welcomed to use external elements, if it has the correct license to use them for the event.
5. The teams can be of up to 5 members.
6. 60% of the team must be Latin Americans (identifies as Latin American).
7. No AI Generated Content is allowed.

[ENG] The rating will be divided in 6 categories.

A. Creatividad / Creativity

Creatividad se relaciona a nuevas experiencias, ideas interesantes e innovaciones.
Creativity is related to new experiences, interesting ideas and innovations.

B. Arte / Art

Arte, ya sabes, el aspecto visual del juego.
Art, you know, the visual aspect of the game.

C. Jugabilidad / Gameplay

¿Qué tan bien se sienten los controles y el diseño de nivel?
How good is the game feel and the level design?

D. Identidad / Identity

¿Qué tanto se refleja tu identidad latinoaméricana? ¿Qué tanto se refleja el tema de la game jam?
How much is this a reflection of your Latin American identity? How much does this reflect the theme of the game jam?

E. Diversión / Fun Factor

Medición del disfrute.
Measure of the enjoyment.

F. Audio

¿Cómo es la música y el audio del juego?
How is the music and audio of the game?
