A Game Jam is similar to a hackathon in that it is a coding marathon where you work with other hackers (Jammers) to develop games within a specified timeframe (in this case, 5 days)! At the end, your team will demo your games online. Our judging panel and community vote will determine the winners of this Game Jam and you can win prizes!
This Game Jam will be focused on the theme of Christmas. The specific Christmas theme will be announced during the opening ceremony.
Your team can have up of to 4 people.
No. You can only submit games that are made during the given Game Jam timeframe. We will check.
We will host various workshops on game development and design! We will also be hosting a game night to allow you to take a break from coding and meet new people while having fun!
This event is open to all high school, CÉGEP, and undergraduate students, regardless of location or experience!
No, not at all. In fact, usually, most Game Jams are lacking in artists and have more developers than artists! Artists are also essential in the making of games as they are the ones who create the assets. Plus, we have beginner workshops on game development to teach you how to code!
