Welcome to the KO Game Jam 2025. This is a 2 week game jam event hosted by the knockout.chat community.
All participants are welcome to join! You don't not need to be a member of the community to participate! If you're looking for teammates, or want to see the cool things people are working on, head on over to this thread and sign up! Feel free to share your progress there too!

THE RULES:

• No AI Generative content allowed! We want to see what YOU can create in the allotted time, not what AI can create for you!
• No sexual themes or nudity allowed!
• You may use generic, pre-existing code for your project. Things like menus, inputs, or basic controls, for example.
  • Please do not create code or assets specifically for this jam, before the jam starts.
• You may use pre-existing assets, public domain assets, assets you've paid for, and assets you made yourself.
• There are no restrictions to team size. You may join the jam alone or with a group of people.

VOTING AND WINNERS:

Once the jam finishes, entries will be locked and the voting period will begin. Voting lasts for 1 week after the jam ends. There are 4 categories to vote on;

1.  Overall - Your overall rating for the game.
2. Theme - How well the game adhered to the theme of the jam.
3. Gameplay - How refined the gameplay was.
4. Graphics - The overall art style of the game and how it looks.

There are no official prizes for this game jam, aside from bragging rights. While the previously held KO Game Jam had a prize pool involved, I am choosing to forego a prize pool. However, you are free to reward the winner(s) of the game jam with whatever prize you want to offer, if any.
