Welcome!

Knitweave Jam is a monthly game jam hosted by Knitwit Studios on the first, full week of the month.

Three categories are chosen from a roulette wheel spin! Weave two of these for the theme for your game!
(Hard-Mode: Weave all three!)

Theme Roulette

Spun live 30-minutes before the jam starts on YouTube. The three chosen words will be posted here, and on our Discord and Twitter.

Tips & FAQ

  • Having trouble weaving two of the words together?
    • Start with your favorite theme of the three, and build a game that revolves around that. When your core game is built, then sprinkle in the second theme. It is perfectly okay if a game is 99% of one theme and 1% of another!
  • How literal should I take these categories/words/genres?
    • Not literal at all; redefine a genre or interpret a word as loosely as you want! The idea is to create something unique and original, and your own!

Rules

Please, read! Any game that do not follow these rules will be removed.

  • The team-size limit is 4.
  • Release your game for any platform, but remember, players can only vote for games they can run on their computer.
    •  (WebGL has high-access to players, followed by Windows)
  • Must be appropriate for all ages. No offensive content.
  • You can use pre-made or borrowed assets. During the submission form, you are required to give credit/kudos for any assets that do not belong to you.
