This is a Unity3D Developer jam.

Make a keyboard in Unity where the corresponding keys move when you type on your actual keyboard.

Use all of your skills. Use any or all of Unity's features. Start with this starter keyboard or make your own.

Starter Project you can clone or fork: https://github.com/benthroop/KeyboardJamStart

This project includes the model and moves keys using a script. Make something from it or don't.

Models

FBX 2013: https://www.dropbox.com/s/pdz27oxqahrt8lv/KeyboardJam-StarterKeyboard_FBX2013.fb...

There are two awards:

  • Best
  • Worst

You probably can't win both, but stranger things have happened.

To enter, please submit:

  1. A link to a publicly posted Tweet, Youtube Video, or animated GIF showing the keyboard in action (example)
  2. A link to a public repo on Github that contains a Unity 2019.3b6 or earlier project.

Working builds are not required, but can be made if you want.

Rules:

  • Don't submit paid Unity Assets
  • Don't submit art/code you don't have a right to use
  • If you get ideas from other people, cite them in your submission
  • Submissions should include source and be openable in Unity 2019 or later.

Judging is TBD. Will update on that after this weekend.
