Game Jam Details

Theme: Horror with a Twist 

So basically itll be a horror game but at the end or middle there will be a twist! This plot twist should flip the story on its head! Here are some examples!

Twist Ideas:

Horror, but from the monster's perspective.

A terrifying setting, but the gameplay is lighthearted or comedic.

A psychological horror where the scares come from unexpected places.

Duration: 2 Months (April 2nd to June 2nd) 

Rules: 

1.  Your submission must be made using RPG in a Box.  Submissions NOT made using RPG in a Box will be denied. (You can also use Demo version) 

 2.  Your work is made during the jams runtime and has not been published elsewhere before (is not a re-submission or a remake of your game) 

 3.  Agree to allow the game to be played in a video!  Kev Key will play your game for YouTube, by submitting, you agree to allow the gameplay footage to be published!  Please look forward to a playing of your submission on the Kev Key channel.  https://www.youtube.com/@kevkey.

4. Do not copyright others work from all platforms, make sure if you're using assets like music or sounds that they are public domain free use type or if you dont have the rights to it make sure to credit the original creator in the credits section of your game.

5. You may join as a team but the prize is really for only one person, you'd have to figure out how to split it. So id suggest sticking solo

6. NO RACISM, HOMOPHOBIA, or any discrimination of any kind in your submission

7. No Nsfw items such as adult themes. Blood and gore is fine just no pornographic imagery or themes 

Submission Requirement

Make sure to include the game.exe and game.pck file in your submission or I can't play them!

Judging Criteria: 

 This Jam will be rated by me (kevkey) and possibly other judges. The ratings are as followed

1. How well did you use the theme

2. How good was the twist

3. How scary is it

4. Creativity

Each submission will be ranked on those 4 criteria 

1st place: $50  Dollar Amazon gift card

2nd place: $25 Dollar Steam gift card

3rd place: $10 Visa gift card
