It’s been a year since the creation of the first Keep NSFW Alive (KNA) Bundle, when I and many other developers joined forces to protest and stand against the censorship attempt that we experienced firsthand right here on itch.io.

This does not mean that we blame itch.io or believe that the platform itself wants to censor us. Quite the opposite: we firmly believe that this attempt comes from external forces and institutions far above the platform itself.

Despite our previous protests and requests, it is still not possible to publish paid NSFW-indexed games on itch.io, and this continues to put NSFW developers at a significant disadvantage.

Sex should never be a taboo. It can be a way to express our passions, explore our creativity, and create experiences centered around pleasure, not oppression imposed by external ideologies.

After this long introduction, I want to renew my promise: this year, I will continue fighting alongside other developers for a world with fewer restrictions and no unjustified censorship of adult content.
