From the familiar ancestries of humans and elves, to the exotic ancestries of memonek and heliox. Ancestries come in all varieties, but we’ve only met a few. What other ancestries are to be found in Orden, the Nine Cities of Hell, or some other unexplored manifold?
The Jam
Create an ancestry, featuring sections with information, fiction, and ancestry traits in the style of the core rules.
The information section must contain a few details about the ancestry’s culture. The fiction section must contain a short scene that introduces an individual member of the ancestry. The ancestry traits section must contain at least 1 signature trait common to all members of the ancestry, and 2 or more purchasable traits.
Your ancestry must fit into 1 page containing the information, fiction, and traits sections. Your submission may contain 1 cover page featuring art, the name of the submission, and credits.
You are not allowed to make multiple submissions. You are allowed to collaborate, but only one person should submit the entry.

Your submission must follow a few rules:
- Must be a PDF document, with the following restrictions:
- Page size of US Letter or A4
- May have 1 cover page, only featuring: art, name of the ancestry, logos, and credits
- Maximum 1 page of combined information, fiction, and traits
- Must be an original creation for the jam, no prior published material
- Free or pay-what-you-want for the duration of the jam, including the voting phase
- In accordance with the Draw Steel Creators License
- No NSFW content
- No AI may be used
- No misogynistic, racist, discriminatory, homophobic, transphobic, imperialist, or any other bigoted content
Submissions will be rated by a panel of people from the MCDM community:

- Presentation: art, layout, and organization.
- Creativity: fun, novelty, and originality.
- Mechanics: power level, verisimilitude, and pertinence.
Prizes
The top 3 submission will be awarded a prize, graciously provided by Triglav Games.
- First place: Scions of Blood and Shadow & Boggits of Kingsmire (including digital map pack)
- Second place: Scions of Blood and Shadow
- Third place: Scions of Blood and Shadow
All products are digital only; and Boggits of Kingsmire will be delivered once it's published.
